Evergreen Aviation Makes Surprise Visit to EAA

July 3, 2008 — Evergreen International Aviation’s Founder and Chairman Delford M. Smith made a surprise visit to EAA Friday enroute home from Washington, D.C. Smith and members of his corporate leadership and Evergreen Air & Space Museum staff visited EAA President Tom Poberezny to discuss AirVenture Oshkosh 2008 and the concepts behind the AirVenture Museum. The visit culminated with a tour of the museum, which included an explanation of its role in support of EAA’s membership mission.

EAA staff plans a return visit to the Evergreen Air & Space Museum in McMinville Oregon, which gained recognition worldwide for its signature exhibit of the Spruce Goose.
