EAA Chapter Aircraft Judging

EAA Members are passionate about their homebuilt aircraft and restoration projects. Countless hours are poured into bringing their aircraft to life and taking what has been a life-long dream to the sky. Seeing the culmination of their hard work shine through their planes is a feeling of accomplishment that just doesn’t compare.

Aircraft have the opportunity to be judged at EAA AirVenture, EAA Regional Fly-Ins and numerous local fly-ins across the country. This aircraft judging process recognizes builders and restorers for excellence in aircraft construction and restoration while focusing on such details as workmanship, originality, quality, innovation, authenticity, and compliance with FAR and FAA requirements.

Sharing these prized aircraft with others at the various fly-ins is a terrific way to encourage others to develop an appreciation of aviation both of our modern marvels and historic treasures.
